Australia Day!
Whooooooooooooooooooooooo! Australia Day! *waves a little flag* I spent most of last night watching the Australia Day Special on Channel Ten so now I'm really tired. It was worth it though. Tripod's act was so funny. I'm going to try looking for their album. That reminds me Shannon's single is out today. T-T I have to go to high school tomorrow. I'm so freaked out. T-T

A blog entry that is completely unrelated to Idol if you don't count this title.
Well nothing much has been happening in my life lately. Just getting school uniforms, labeling school stuff and reading. I have to get my butt into school after Australia Day. Hayley tells me that Emma-Jayne's back from New Zealand. Jenny, Kristen and myself will get an earful of what happened when we've at school. Mr. Langdon STILL hasn't sent us our camp videos, pictures ect. *loads shotgun* Time to HUNT HIM DOWN! Well at least ask everyone else if they have anything yet. I really wanted to make a big poster using the pictures of the class and add little comments, jokes and stuff before school began T-T

Must...have...tickets!
Shannon is performing in Rocky! T-T I'd really like to go. The tickets are about AUD so I could buy a ticket if I wanted...but they're probably all sold out by now and I doubt I could go by myself. Still it's nice to dream. Nearly everyone's saying "Oh Shannon should of won instead of Guy." not that I don't like Shannon (I would have been happy if he won.) but Guy won okay so stop bitching about it. Besides it was better that Guy won because Shannon would have been pushed into it all and he wouldn't have had much time with his family (Fiancé Rochelle, two little kids.) so this way he can take it easy and get his single out and album out without having to be pressed. Oh I might as well have a Millsey update he's signed up with BMG. But what about Cosima? I'm sure her voice her fine now. Millsey seems to have ended up with quite a few things (Sanity TV Ad, part in "Neighbours" (I do NOT watch "Neighbours" Julie told me.) and getting signed up with BMG.) and what about Paulini. I guess she has the whole "Gold Dress" thing. Anyway lately it's been raining which is a nice change from the heat. Isn't there something so peaceful about rain? When it started raining I played "Can You Stand the Rain" by Guy Sebastian. Tee hee.

Don't see "Peter Pan"
Well "Peter Pan" really sucked. Go see "Love Actually" instead. Well at least I was nice and cool and mum and me got to do some more school supply shopping (It's really weird thinking of myself as a highschooler, almost 13, a teenager...). Anyway GO SEE "Love Actually"!

So hot...
It's about 8:30 AM and I have my fan on high already! Dad says next summer I MAY get an air con in my room. I can't wait! I'm going to see "Peter Pan" today with my Mum (When I was in Brisbane and we went over to my aunt and uncle’s house my cousin Julie recommended to see "Peter Pan" about one millions times). It'll be nice to get out of the heat. Oh and I recommend you go see "Love Actually". It is reeeeeeally funny. Instead of just having a few main characters it has many. Oh and did I mention it is really funny? Anyway GO SEE IT!

Happy New Year everyone! I came back from Brisbane yesterday. It was nice to see my aunty, uncle, cousins and Grandma again. Anyway I'll do a little highlights report later on.

I'm going to Brisbane tomorrow and I won't have easy computer access so I'll send out my greeting now. Merry Christmas! Hope you don't get panties for Christmas! Randomness
There hasn't been enough going on lately so instead I'll talk about a few random things for no reason at all. Firstly who was the person that named the store "Just Jeans" when they sell tops and skirts and stuff? They sell jeans but not just jeans. Weird. Secondly the people who moved in next door (Into Jenny and Gary's house) mow their lawn using a ride on mower. I mean it's okay if you have a big backyard and front yard but they don't. Our front yard and backyard are bigger than theirs and we use a normal mower. Weird. Okay something not so weird. They put Millsie in a Sanity ad! Millsie (Robert Mills) was in the top five in Australian Idol (Order: Guy, (Winner) Shannon, Cosima, Paulini, Millsie.) and Sanity is a music store. The ad was pretty cool.

Almost Christmas and I haven't started shopping yet.
Next week I'll be off to Brisbane! I'm going to track down some comic book stores there because they might have some manga there ^-^ I haven't even started shopping for Christmas presents yet even though I went shopping with Nikki and Claire on Saturday. That was more of an "us" shopping trip though. I'm going to miss those guys T-T I'm not going to do the Thursday/Friday report now because if I try now it will just be forced and boring. I left it for too long.

One hot summer afternoon...
Whew. I'll get the Thursday-Friday report done tomorrow morning when it's slightly cooler. At least I hope I do or else it will end up like my camp report and never get done. Shinobu, thanks for the mention in your blog. It's nice to know someone reads mine ^-^ I can't wait to go to Brisbane. Mum, Bryce and myself couldn't go at Winter time this year so I'm really looking forward to going with the whole family this time. T-T I missed you Brisbane. Now I can see my grandma, uncle and aunty and my cousins. I'm not sure what to get everyone this year. I really want to buy Guy Sebastian’s album, have enough money left over for present and still have enough money to go shopping in Brisbane (They have KILLER shops there).

Heh I haven't updated for a while. I'll do it on a day when it's not so hot. All I want to do now is put my feet up, read and listen to music.

2nd best is pretty good
Okay Australia lost but we played a GREAT game. Losing at the finals though means you're second best which is pretty bad. It turns out England hasn't beaten us at Rugby since 1966 O.o Oh well we'll just have to kick their butts at cricket. Today was really hot so it was nice to get away to the air-conditioned comfort of the movies. Mum and me went to see "School of Rock" which was pretty good so it ended up being a good afternoon for me. Mum also finished my graduation dress this afternoon. It looks really nice ^-^

It's the Rugby Cup Grand Final! Australia VS. England for anyone who has been under a rock. It's really bizarra because at the stadium they are receiving rain. "Old Mother England" must of sent her rain over here. Still Australia we kick butt anyway. @--()---- <--- Evil rose of England! GUY WON! ect. Guy is going to be GREAT! He'll represent Australia well. After they announced that he won he sang "Angels Brought Me Here" a song made for Guy and Shannon to be used for whoever won.That song is so pretty ^-^ When he was singing there was all this shiny, silver squares floating down and some of them got stuck in his 'fro. Tee hee. Oh and I didn't forget about you Shannon. He will definitely have record companies chasing after him! Anyway love you Guy!

Kieran = Alex???
I haven't been updating lately but hey-I've been busy you know. Claire's party was pretty fun. Kieran took the theme too literally and dressed up as....ALEX! No seriously he came in his sisters dress and he had this long black wig on. It was soooooo funny XD. Kinda reminded me when Guy put on Jaclyn's gold dress on over his clothes at camp and danced around XD. Emma was....surprising. She chased Goumbi (Joshua) around Claire's place o.O She's a bit of a hypocrite saying she isn't into boys and calling Gina immature because she has a crush on Jakob. But hey that's Emma for you -_-; Jeremy was particularly funny. Claire's has this go-cart sort of thing so Jeremy was racing it down the slope. Sometimes he ended up crashing it a post off the road XD. Kinda like "Jackass". It turns out he hurt his neck though. Oh well only a few weeks left of "childhood" we disserve a little fooling around. Anyway he couldn't participate in any the swimming events on Monday except the relay. I didn't do much swimming, I'm not very good at it. Well I can swim but just not competing. No I just loooooooooooooooove going to the beach. It funs to jump with the waves and lie in the sand. I just hate when I get salt water in my eyes it hurts T-T. Anyway it's been a okay week. Grammar drew out of our LAST GAME! I mean that was the time to give it our all since it was basically the end for softball in our school for us year sevens. Anyway I got to see some more of the camp video. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ect. We saw the bit where you could hear Mr. Langdon singing in the shower XD. Soooooo funny but Mr. Langdon took the time it was on down so he could cut it out later T-T. He was singing this song about this man named Guy. Since have a Guy in our class and it was the boy’s turn to take showers they were having a joke saying, "He'll sing a song about Goumbi next!” Tee hee so fun.

Okay I didn't get to do a Melbourne Cup report straight away. Maybake Dive won! I drew Ain't Seen Nothin out of the sweep and it didn't get a second or third. Oh well it's all in good fun. Claire's having a Charlie's Angels party this arvo so that should be fun. I'm going as Dylan and I even made a little cardboard gun. Tee hee.

Cosima you are so brave T-T
Australian Idol was just on. Cosima announced that she wouldn't go on because of her voice (She has something wrong with it at the moment). Now that took total GUTS to do that. It must of took so much courage to get up there and announce that she gave up her space. Naturally because she surrendered her spot they didn't announce who the was the other person who would go onto the finals (Guy was safe! I voted for you Guy!). Cosima I have so much respect for what you did. You could of let some else announce the news but you didn't so good on you!

Frightening!
Today my Mum and myself looked for things for my graduation dress. We found the PERFECT fabric since Mum is going to make it for me. It has a deep blue floral pattern on it and the flowers are outlined in gold ^-^. Anyway it's the Melbourne Cup tomorrow! Yaaaaaaaaaaay ect. This afternoon we had a maths lessons on the Melbourne Cup on odds and stuff so that was pretty fun. Tomorrow we'll be having a sweep in the class so that should be fun. Mum thinks the horse Frightening will win because it has a really good trainer. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hey they're playing "Rise Up" on the radio right now. It's sung by the top 12 Australia's Idols. It's a nice song ^-^.

Go The 'Fro!
I just watched "Australian Idol" and Guy ROCKED! Man he was so good. Words can't describe it. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ect.! It's down to the last three so it's pretty hard to choose someone to vote for who's your fave but Guy just kicked BUTT! The theme for 60's and his second choice of song was "Climb Every Mountain" and I like "Is that going to work?" But it did! He was the only one to get a "Touchdown" out of Mark. The only one! Shannon wasn't up to his usually standard this week and neither was Cosima. In skill Guy rocked but most people just vote for the person they want instead of skill. Still I am soooooooooooooooo voting for Guy because he was just so good. Go the 'Fro!

Cheery Faces
I was just watching the Rugby match (Australia VS. Ireland) and the two people chosen from each country that plays in Rugby from Australia come out (Arg there’s so many things wrong with that sentence. Mrs. Daley would have my neck if she saw it!). Now I knew that the girl who sings Advance Australia Fair was from my hometown but then my Mums says: Hey she's the girl who played Aladdin in the Christmas pantomime of "Aladdin" that we saw last year! I'm like: Hey it is her! I recognize her cheery face. She has this beautiful face that lights up when she smiles. Anyway it's half-time now and the score is 11-6 to Australia's favor. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ect.!

We kicked Hall's butt!
Oh yeah we kicked Hall's butt in softball yesterday! Hannah Caton was so good she got TWO home runs. The second time everyone on the field was moving out of the way. She was like the roadrunner! Meep meep! I got my photos back on Thursday but some of them didn't turn out! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! It's all Mrs. Mcdine's fault *pouts*. I had of the best photos like of the Red Faces acts and one when Guy put on Jaclyn's dress XD. But now I have about half of the ones I took T-T Oh well I have a few good funny ones. The one where Hayley was brushing Mr. Langdon's hair when he was trying to sleep (Oh man Kate Baines shouldn't of put lipstick on his head she definitely got tricked up by Mr. Langdon. I'll explain if I ever get time to write up a camp report.) and the one where Emma is leaning against Nikki with her thumb in her mouth pretending to be asleep. You should see Nikki's face XD.

Newtype!
I went to Millennium Comics the other day and I got my monthly thin manga (Ranma 1/2 this time. I've bought all the ones they have there which isn't many.) and I finally bought a Newtype magazine. It's so thick 0.0 It's going to last me for ages. It was the September issue and it had an Angelic Layer DVD with it. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ect. It had the dub and sub of the first episode on it so I watched the dub since I've seen the sub. (I've seen about eight episodes of it. Thank-you Shinobu ^-^) It was okay. They actually didn't edit out anything just changed the dialogue a little. The even left in the original Japanese songs and they kept the original names too. I loooooove *the starry sky* it's so pretty. The only thing that was a little iffy was the voices. Some were okay but some made me cringe like Icchan's new voice. Anyway back to the Newtype mag I had to bargain for half an hour with Mum to get it and I still have to work off my butt to pay for it (I'm saving my money up for something special.) but oh well it's worth it. School's going well on six weeks left T-T I'm going to miss everyone. The work's piled on but I'll manage to get through it. Imagine if there was a school where all you learnt about is anime and stuff. 11:00- Cosplay, 2:30- Angelic Layer. Wouldn't it be so cool if Angelic layer actually existed? That would be the best thing ever!

After Camp.
It's me Rachel back from camp. Okay I got back from camp on Friday and it's Tuesday today. I'll get around to the camp report....eventually. Mr. Langdon is back for good! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ect. Hayley brought in her photos from camp today. There's one picture of Claire with her stick of sugar cane to nibble on that we got from the sugar cane farm in her mouth XD. I took some pretty good pictures but I still have about four picture left in my disposable camera that I need to use before I an develop my pictures T-T

Miyazaki Rules!
I just watched Spirited Away again. *sigh* I love that movie sooooo much. I prefer the sub to the dub. One bit I hate in the dub is this... One of the people doing a dance and chant for No Face: Here comes the richest man in the world. The more food we give him the bigger is butt gets for kissing. So start begging for tips! The more food we give him makes is butt bigger for kissing?! Sorry but this is a little crude for my taste. I prefer the original voices over the dubbed ones. Rumi Hiiragi and Miyu Irino your voices are so lovely! (voices of Chihiro/Sen and Haku.) The dub is bearable but I prefer the sub. I must become Miyazaki's personal assistant! Actually that wouldn't be so bad. 1. I get to go to Japan where I can buy many Japanese things, try Japanese food (pocky, pocky, pocky!) and stuff like that. 2. I get to see Studio Ghibli. 3. I get to meet Miyazaki! So it's win, win, win! Hey where do I sign up?!

Nail polish=EVIL!
Ever go to the bathroom to throw out an old bottle of nail polish and then have it slip from your grip and splatter all over the tiles, bathroom cupboard door and leave a drop or two on the electronic bath scales? That stuff is seriously hard to scrub off tiles. For best results chuck a hole lot of Jif on the tiles and scrub like crazy. I cleaned the tiles nicely but I couldn’t save the cupboard or the scales. I least my parents were understanding. Well the holidays are almost over so I will have to go back to school again on Tuesday (Thank God for pupil free days) but hey 1. Mr. Langdon will be back! 2. CAMP! 1. I really hope he's back for good I mean he only taught as for a term and, a week or two and a few days. When we get back we will of course have a class discussion of what we did on the holidays and of course I will say how I learnt how to clean nail polish off tiles. 2. Camp is going to be so fun. All of our hard fundraising work will have finally paid off. I can't wait for the talent contest thingie it'll be funny!(Claire is going to do a mock karate thingie with her partner to the song Kungfu Fighting XD)
